Configurability

Maptuit’s routing algorithms can be configured to meet the unique needs of your fleet.

Maptuit's solutions are the most configurable in the industry.  This can be done on two levels: both through routing and/or map data.

highway2Routing

Maptuit's routing algorithms can be configured to meet the unique needs of your fleet.  One fleet may be more focused on a reduction in miles, while another may prioritize time with the goal of increasing deliveries per day.  Similarly, a fleet comprised of seasoned drivers may select more aggressive routes than a training fleet.  The training fleet's routes would include more highways and trips which require less complicated maneuvers.

Map Data

Maptuit provides levels of customization.  Because our algorithms use modifiers than can encourage, discourage or prohibit certain variables, we can customize at the fleet level and all the way down to the specific location.  As an example, there may be certain road segments or even sections of a town that a fleet does not want their drivers to drive through.  Using our web tools, a fleet can customize their version of our map data so that our routing gives them the desired result.  Going a step further, let's take the example of  a bulk fuel carrier that wants to make a delivery to a corner gas station with a low overhang.  In this situation the only safe approach is to use a specific street coming from a specific direction.  Though the gas station sits at the intersection of two streets, each with two entrances to the station, only one approach safely avoids the overhang.  Using our tools, when a route is requested by this fleet to this gas station, location specific modifiers will produce the safe route.  The end result is that the driver will be directed using the particular road, going in the correct direction, to make a safe turn into the specific entrance which he is informed of by a custom note that is spoken to him upon approach that was assigned to this location.
