Fuel Search

Fuel Ahead & Nearby
The NaviGo client allows users to find fuel stations, and their associated fuel prices, using either of the two following methods:
- a radial search that returns results within a given radius (a value that is configurable by the client) and,
- a corridor search that returns results along the current active route.
Search results will be returned based on their proximity to the vehicle’s current location. In addition to selecting which fuel data feed they would like to use, Fleets also have the option of leveraging their own custom fuel network. Under this scenario, a search for fuel stations could be configured to yield only those results available within network, along with their corresponding negotiated network price for fuel (rather than the price at the pump). In order to access this functionality, the fleet needs to be configured to use the ‘fuel’ add-on. Once they have been properly configured by Maptuit support, their drivers can type the following keywords into the Find field of the Location Search screen:
- Fuel nearby keyword: searches for fuel stations within a configured radius (e.g. fuel nearby (for fuel near current location) or fuel nearby 133 King Street E, Toronto (for fuel near a specified location))
- Fuel ahead keyword: searches for fuel stations along the route if a route is available (e.g. fuel ahead)
- Fuel keyword: searches for fuel stations using the fuel ahead method if a route is available or the fuel nearby method if a route is not available (e.g. fuel).
The following is an example of what a user will see when using the Fuel Ahead search feature:
