Compliance

Compliance starts with the collection of event data from the NaviGo Client for later use in report generation and display within NaviGo Monitor.  For each NaviGo unit the following events are captured:  Compliance Related Events (OOR, BTR (Back to Route), Arrival), Route requests, Feedback messages, Search events and Position Reports.  As part of capturing these events, statistics about the unit are recorded such as location, heading and odometer reading. This information will be used in the generation of daily or weekly compliance reports.

NaviGo Compliance Reports provide information about completed trips and comparative data about the planned trip and the driver’s actual performance against the route requested.  Since Compliance is not dispatch aware, the route driven is compared to the route requested by the NaviGo client, not what was necessarily dispatched to the client.  Dispatch level compliance reporting is only available with the Alert product.  The compliance reports can either be emailed to one or more addresses, or one can login and download their reports from an ftp site.  These reports will be generated in a delimited format for easy import into standard reporting tools (e.g. Microsoft Excel).  The following information is necessary when enabling a fleet for this feature:

  • Fleet
  • Frequency (daily, weekly)
  • Time zone
  • Miles or Kilometers
  • Distribution Mechanism (ftp  or email with valid e-mail addresses)

As previously mentioned, NaviGo Compliance also allows for the visualization of NaviGo Events within the NaviGo Montior tab in the NaviGo Portal.

Viewing the various NaviGo Events in the portal allows fleet management to visualize what the driver actual did differently from the planned route and to potentially aid in the driver coaching experience.

The following is an example of how NaviGo Events appear in NaviGo Monitor:
